Detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are back in action. The duo stumble upon a corruption scandal that leads them straight to the heart of the Miami police force. With the help of a tip-off from their deceased Captain Howard, they get to the bottom of the matter. But they soon find themselves caught up in an intrigue and have to flee. In order to solve the case, they have to work outside the law and according to their own rules.
