Gundam: Renowned Director Takes Over Directing Of Anime Live-Action Movie
Jordan Vogt-Roberts had already directed "Kong: Skull Island" before
There is some news regarding anime adaptations. Next up, in addition to the already well-known live-action versions of "Death Note", "One Piece" and "Cowboy Bebop", is another anime adaptation, namely "Gundam". The franchise has enjoyed great popularity in the community since 1979 and is now to be revived with a film. Legendary and Netflix, who are currently developing animated adaptations of "Skull Island" and "Tomb Raider", are teaming up for this. It's not quite clear what the "Gundam" live-action movie will be about, but there are already numerous anime series, spin-offs and video games, all of which should provide enough material for a new story. Comic book writer Brian K. Vaughan will be handling the script, while Jordan Vogt-Roberts is set to be the director. Unfortunately, nothing is currently known about a potential start of production.
