Overview

A year after the capture of Han Solo, C-3PO and R2-D2, on a mission initiated by Luke Skywalker, infiltrate Jabba the Hutt's palace to rescue Han, still encased in carbonite. Princess Leia, disguised as a bounty hunter, attempts to free Han but is captured and enslaved. Luke arrives to negotiate but is thrown into a perilous situation. After overcoming various challenges, the group, including Chewbacca, escapes Jabba's palace. Luke returns to complete his Jedi training with Yoda, who reveals crucial information about Luke's lineage and the need to confront Darth Vader.

The Rebel Alliance discovers the Empire's construction of a second Death Star, guarded by an energy shield on Endor's moon. Han leads a team, including Luke and Leia, to destroy the shield generator. They encounter Ewoks, ultimately gaining their support. Meanwhile, Lando Calrissian and Admiral Ackbar lead the Rebel assault on the Death Star but face unexpected challenges.

Luke confronts Vader and the Emperor, learning of the Rebel fleet's peril. On Endor, Imperial forces capture Han's team, yet a counterattack by Ewoks aids the Rebels. The Emperor attempts to turn Luke to the dark side, revealing a shocking truth about Luke's sister. As the Rebels infiltrate the shield generator, a lightsaber duel ensues between Luke and Vader. In a climactic moment, Vader makes a redemptive choice.
