Daredevil Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and his partner Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are still in the police force and continue to drive Captain Howard to white heat. While loner Mike is still married to his job, family man Marcus is increasingly realizing that he would rather spend the second half of his life with his loved ones. However, after Mike becomes the target of an assassination attempt one day, events come thick and fast, leaving the two of them with no choice but to hunt down his attacker (Jacob Scipio) , who is hiding a dark secret.
