Overview

Like the animated film, the live-action adaptation is based on the children's book of the same name by Cressida Cowell. It is expected that the plot of the live-action film adaptation will be mainly based on the first part of the animated film series. The 2010 adventure film took us into the fascinating world of the Vikings and told the story of Hiccup, the clever but frail son of the chieftain who lives in the Viking village of Berk. This village is regularly attacked by dragons, which are feared in the Viking world as dangerous beasts and brutal monsters.

One day, Hiccup decides to prove to the village that he too has the potential of a brave Viking. He shoots down a nightshade dragon after it attacks the village again. But when he examines his supposed success after shooting it down, he discovers that the dragon, Toothless, is by no means a cruel monster, but a lovable creature. This unusual encounter leads to a secret friendship between Hiccup and Toothless, which he has to hide from his family.
