At 15, Sonic (voiced by Julien Bam) is a pubescent powerhouse, but he doesn't really realize it himself yet. For his own safety, he has to go into hiding on planet Earth. However, there is one condition: The world is never to know of his existence. But this proves to be almost impossible for the extroverted hedgehog, especially in view of his super-power, which he has yet to discover. So it's only a matter of time before someone takes notice of him. Fortunately, Sonic comes across Tom (James Marsden) , a cynical policeman who has his heart in the right place. Together, the two take on Sonic's crazy nemesis Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) , who is soon chasing them all over the planet. A breathtaking chase at the speed of sound begins...
