Overview

Vernon Subutex, an unemployed record dealer, is evicted from his apartment. In search of a place to sleep, he turns to former friends from his legendary record store, including rock star Alex Bleach, who is preparing his comeback. However, the latter dies of an overdose and leaves him three mysterious videotapes. While Vernon then disappears into the anonymity of the city, he becomes the most wanted man in Paris...
