Shaun Evans (The Take) steps into John Thaw’s shoes as the younger version of Colin Dexter’s iconic creation, Inspector Morse, shedding new light on the origins of the detective famed for his love of crosswords, classical music, real ale, and classic cars. In 1965, a reluctant Detective Constable Endeavour Morse was recruited into the hunt for a missing schoolgirl, drawing him back to the place that would ultimately shape and define his destiny—Oxford. Adrift in the midst of a full-blown murder investigation led by Detective Inspector Fred Thursday (Roger Allam, The Iron Lady), Morse finds himself sidelined, discredited, and at a dead end.
