The New "Street Fighter" Film Loses its Directors

A "Street Fighter" series is likewise in development

Bad news for all "Street Fighter" fans: "Talk To Me" directors Danny and Michael Philippou are no longer working on the new live-action adaptation of the popular fighting game.

The reason for this is apparently scheduling difficulties. Originally, Legendary and Capcom had hoped to start production on the "Street Fighter" film sooner rather than later. According to The Hollywood Reporter, however, the Philippou brothers first want to devote themselves to the horror project "Bring Her Back", which is once again being produced by A24. A "Talk To Me" prequel is also waiting in the wings. However, it is still unclear what the future holds for the "Street Fighter" film, but is likely that the search for a new director is already underway. Plans are also afoot for a "Street Fighter" series.
