Leak: Harry Potter Star Joins Deadpool 3
The report comes from a trusted source
Deadpool meets Harry Potter: According to an insider source, Daniel Radcliffe himself is joining the cast of "Deadpool 3".
The info comes from Daniel Richtman, a well-known leaker whose disclosures have often turned out to be true. He didn't want to give any sources or further details, but Daniel Radcliffe is said to have been cast for a "secret role" in the third Deadpool movie.
In general, there are many talks about the cast of the action movie. It is considered certain that the multiverse will play an essential role, which is a great opportunity for all kinds of crazy situations and guest appearances. Just recently it was revealed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra after more than 18 years. Other rumors revolve around X-Men Halle Berry as Storm, Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth and an appearance by Channing Tatum as Gambit.
At least most of the big names have been confirmed for the main cast. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will star as Deadpool and Wolverine, of course. New characters are being portrayed by Matthew MacFadyen and Emma Corrin, with Corrin set to play the main villain. There are also a couple of returnees from the prequels: these include Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. Zazie Beetz will unfortunately not make a comeback as Domino in "Deadpool 3".
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Shawn Levy spoke about how important it was to him and lead actor Ryan Reynolds to particularly get Wolverine right. Because "Deadpool 3" is now part of the MCU, Levy said he had an "army of the nerdiest nerds" at his disposal to get all the details of the iconic comic book costume right. He was all the more pleased with the positive reactions there have been to the leaked set photos featuring Hugh Jackman. He stressed once again that the film is in no way inferior to its predecessors in terms of its violence. In addition, great value was set on shooting in real locations in order to rely as little as possible on studio shots and CGI.
Filming is already halfway finished - but sadly it is currently on hiatus due to the actors' strike in Hollywood. The theatrical release date for "Deadpool 3" is thus entirely uncertain as well. It was last officially set for May 3, 2024, but has since vanished from Disney's release schedule.
