The Mandalorian
Baby Yoda Hype continues
The internet exploded when the Star Wars series The Mandalorian was released on Disney+ earlier this month, because suddenly the internet was flooded with memes about the quite sweet baby Yoda. The problem: Disney was not prepared for the huge hype and so there was no Baby Yoda Merch. Now Disney has printed the portrait of the Mini-Yoda on several articles in order to make as much profit as possible with the still continuing hype. But this shot backfired quite a bit, because what Disney presents looks pretty unloving. The fan community isn't too enthusiastic either, which is why it's better to concentrate on the much funnier memes in the future. That's exactly when it was failing a few days ago, as the online database Giphy has ensured that all Baby Yoda GIFs have been removed to pre-empt any Disney claims. But as it turned out, Disney didn't take on the role of the bogeyman, which is why there is a happy ending: as Giphy announces, the pictures and animations are now fully available again.
