"The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf": New Trailer Promises a Suspenseful Vesemir Storyline

Production of The Witcher Season 3 is also said to have already begun

Until recently, fans had to patiently wait for a trailer for the upcoming "The Witcher" animated spin-off "Nightmare of the Wolf", even though the movie will be released at the end of August. Just a few days ago, however, we got to see the first scenes at WitcherCon. We can't expect any big appearances from Geralt, though, because the South Korean-American project focuses primarily on Vesemir's career and is therefore to be understood as an animated spin-off of the main series. In addition, an official list of voice actors has been announced. In the four most important roles we will see or rather hear Theo James as Vesemir, Lara Pulver as Tetra, Graham McTavish as Deglan and Mary McDonnell as Lady Zerbst. Responsible for the adaptation is the South Korean studio Mir, by the way, which has already been able to celebrate some triumphs with the fantasy series "The Legend of Korra". The long-awaited animated series "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf" will be available on Netflix from August 23, 2021.

That being said, there's also news on "The Witcher" main series. Season 2 won't be released until December, but according to the website Redanian Intelligence, early work on Season 3 may have already begun. Considering that this hasn't even been confirmed yet, this is quite surprising news. Given the gigantic success, the production of a third season is not that implausible, but still, this piece of news should be taken with a grain of salt. For now, we are excited about Season 2, which will be released on December 17, 2021, and only then will we look forward to more news about a possible third season.
