"Tomb Raider: Obsidian": More News on the Sequel
The plot could be set in Central America
After it was announced almost a month ago that the new "Tomb Raider" movie will get a new script, as well as the new title "Obsidian", there are now new details about Alicia Vikander's second appearance as Lara Croft. As reported by the site GeekVibesNation, things suggest Central America as the setting, similar to the video game "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" from 2018. Initially, supernatural events were also planned for the film, but that was still when Ben Wheatley was intended to be director. On the other hand, the series is now directed by Misha Green, and she obviously has some expertise in horror thanks to her series "Lovecraft Country". The setting will be primarily based in the Mayan area, as evidenced not only by a first logline for the story, but also by various casting calls.
A precise release date for "Tomb Raider: Obsidian" has not been set yet, but we will keep you up to date as always!
