Over 3000 real weapons were purchased for Part 1
Dirty business is about to be done again: The thriller "Lord of War" is considered one of actor Nicolas Cage's most popular films and a "Lord of War 2" was no doubt on the wish list of some fans. Many are therefore likely to be pleased with the announcement that a sequel is to follow.
In an interview with Variety, producer Karim Debbagh announced that preparations for the sequel to "Lord of War" are already in full swing. Filming is set to begin as early as March 2024 in Morocco, which can portray a number of countries in the Middle East due to its versatility. The country also offers tax rebates that will benefit the production.
"Lords of War" once again revolves around the arms dealer Yuri Orlov, played by Nicolas Cage, who this time faces competition from his own son. The latter is played by "It" star Bill Skarsgård. Andrew Niccol will once again be responsible for the direction.
More detailed information about the cast or the plot is not yet known, but the film could celebrate its premiere on the big screen as early as the end of next year. We'll keep you up to date!
