The K-Pop Demon Hunters Short Film Is Coming Soon!
The short film is called "Debut: A KPOP Demon Hunters Story"
"KPop Demon Hunters" is the streaming sensation of the year: The Netflix hit is breaking one record after another. We previously reported that all kinds of follow-up projects are already in the works. But now, a completely unexpected development has come to light: Apparently, the first spin-off is about to be released! It's a "KPop Demon Hunters" short film.
This was revealed in a document from the Motion Picture Association, which gives content ratings to completed movies before their release. In its latest bulletin, the MPA lists a movie titled "Debut: A KPOP Demon Hunters Story". The entry is categorized as an "animated short". Sony Pictures, which was behind the original movie together with Netflix, is named as the film's distributor.
It remains uncertain how the short film will be released. Netflix seems to be the most probable option again, but a theatrical premiere ahead of a Sony film cannot be ruled out either. Plot details have not been revealed so far. However, the word "Debut" in the title suggests that it might be a prequel.

Among the numerous projects planned for the franchise, a short film had already been mentioned. However, this doesn't necessarily have to be "Debut: A KPOP Demon Hunters Story". The Forbes portal speculates that this short film may have been in development for quite some time. According to the industry magazine Variety, the development of a "KPop" short film was part of a program aimed at supporting emerging artists. It is possible that "Debut: A KPOP Demon Hunters Story" is related to this initiative. This would explain how the project was able to be completed so soon after the release of the original movie.
We are eager to see when the short film will premiere – following the MPA's review, it probably won't be long now. We'll keep you up to date! In the meantime: You can find all the details about the other planned projects from the world of "KPop Demon Hunters" in the following video!

The biggest Netflix hits
Netflix is without question one of the heavyweights in the international film and series business. More and more in-house productions are not only delighting millions of viewers worldwide, but are also having a decisive impact on pop culture. The spectrum ranges from emotional dramas to dark thrillers and fantastic worlds.
Stranger Things
"Stranger Things" is now far more than just a series and an important building block in the history of Netflix. The story begins in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, where a boy mysteriously disappears and a girl with supernatural abilities appears. The series skillfully combines the nostalgic charm of the 80s with an exciting mystery storyline that blends science, horror and coming-of-age elements. The characters quickly grow on the audience and the universe becomes more complex, darker and more emotional with each season. Over the years, "Stranger Things" has established itself as one of the defining series of the streaming age.

Wednesday
"Wednesday" is all about Wednesday Addams, the headstrong daughter of the iconic Addams Family. Unlike previous versions, which mainly focused on black humor, this series shows Wednesday as a teenager who has to find her way at a boarding school called Nevermore – a place for outsiders with special abilities. Between murder mysteries, psychic visions and the search for herself, a captivating story with mystery and coming-of-age elements unfolds. Jenna Ortega gives the character a new depth without losing her dark charm. The series manages to combine gothic aesthetics and youthful conflicts into a unique blend.
Squid Game
Few series have taken the world by storm like the South Korean "Squid Game". The premise is as simple as it is disturbing: people in financial difficulties take part in a secret game that initially looks like a harmless children's Olympics – until it turns out that losing is deadly. What follows is an intense socio-critical thriller that explores greed, inequality and the abysses of human behavior. Visually impressive, with strong actors and an oppressive atmosphere, "Squid Game" has redefined a genre and drawn attention to the growing importance of international series.

Bridgerton
Anyone who believes that historical series have to be dusty and old-fashioned will be proven wrong by "Bridgerton". In this opulent production, early 19th century London becomes a stage for love, intrigue and social power games. The focus is on the members of the Bridgerton family, whose romantic entanglements are commented on by the mysterious gossip columnist Lady Whistledown. "Bridgerton" combines historical material with a contemporary narrative style.
Red Notice
"Red Notice" is an action adventure that was the most successful Netflix film of all time before the success of "KPop Demon Hunters". At its center are an FBI agent, a cunning art thief and a rival who is as clever as she is dangerous and who outwit each other time and again.
Extraction
In "Extraction", Chris Hemsworth takes on the role of a hardened mercenary who has to rescue the son of a powerful drug lord from Dhaka. The mission quickly turns into a fight against time – and against a whole army of pursuers. The film impresses with intense action, long one-take sequences and a raw, almost documentary-like visual language.
The Irishman
"The Irishman" is Martin Scorsese's monumental late work about the life of Frank Sheeran, a contract killer for the mafia. In epic length, the film tells of the rise and fall of the underworld, of loyalty, betrayal and the price that a life full of violence demands. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci deliver impressive performances that are carried by a melancholy undertone. The film is less a classic gangster drama than a reckoning with the myth of the "strong man" – slow, reflective and profound.
