One of the most interesting directors of our time is back with a new project featuring an impressive cast: we're talking about Ari Aster and his film "Eddington".

With his 2018 horror film "Hereditary", Aster not only breathed new life into the genre, but also attracted the attention of Hollywood. This was followed by movies such as "Midsommar" and, in 2023, the dark comedy "Beau Is Afraid" starring Joaquin Phoenix. And Phoenix will also be seen in Aster's latest film, which is called "Eddington"

According to Deadline, the film's plot will take place in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and focus on a young couple traveling from Mexico to Los Angeles. They run out of gas on the way and are forced to make a stop in a small town. Initially, they are given a warm welcome, but as nightfall comes, the picturesque setting soon turns into a nightmare.

The horror flick features a remarkable cast, including Oscar winner Emma Stone, "Dune" star Austin Butler, as well as Pedro Pascal alongside Joaquin Phoenix. A release date has not been set yet.

However, "Eddington" is not the only project in which Stone is likely to shine once again: As Variety reports, she will also be seen in "Kinds of Kindness", the new project by Yorgos Lanthimos. This is due to be released in US cinemas on June 21, 2024 and is a kind of anthology story. After "The Favourite", the short film "Bleat" and "Poor Things" - for which Stone won the Oscar this year for Best Actress in a Leading Role - "Kinds of Kindness" would be the fifth collaboration between the director and the actress. Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau and "Euphoria" star Hunter Schafer will also be involved.
