Super Bowl 2026: What trailers to expect!
Marvel fans might be in for a disappointment
It will soon be that time again: the 60th Super Bowl will take place on Sunday, February 8. But it's not just football fans who are eagerly anticipating the showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. The event has long since become a real media spectacle. For film fans, this means above all: lots of new trailers for upcoming blockbusters! This year promises several major highlights once again. So which trailers can we expect? In this article, we give you a compact overview!
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu
Disney has often used the Super Bowl as a platform for its trailer placements in the past. According to Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, we can expect new material from "Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu". The first trailer for the "Mandalorian" sequel was released back in September 2025, with the theatrical release scheduled for May 22. The release of a new trailer at the Super Bowl would therefore be perfectly timed. You can watch the first trailer again here!

Hoppers
Disney is also about to release the new animated film "Hoppers". A first trailer has already been released here too. The Super Bowl offers a good opportunity to remind Disney fans of the upcoming movie. "Hoppers" opens in cinemas on March 6.
Toy Story 5
A new trailer for "Toy Story 5" is also a possibility. A first teaser was released in November 2025. Insider Richtman is now reporting a new "spot" for the Pixar film. It is therefore quite possible that we are not seeing a real trailer here, but a somewhat shorter insight into the sequel. "Toy Story 5" is scheduled for release on June 19.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
According to the industry portal Deadline, new footage for the "Super Mario Galaxy Movie" will also be released at the Super Bowl. Richtman is also talking about a new spot here. So fans can be excited to see what exactly awaits them here. Industry insiders at least seem to be certain that new material will be released. No wonder: the theatrical release is not too far off. The "Super Mario" sequel can be seen on the big screen from April 1. Here you can watch all clips, spots and trailers so far.

Minions 3
Deadline also reports new footage for "Minions 3". Richtman even talks about a spot and a trailer. The third part of the animated series will be released in cinemas on July 1.
Disclosure Day
Meanwhile, Spielberg fans can expect fresh material from "Disclosure Day". The sci-fi film marks the legendary director's return to the big screen. Including: Hollywood stars such as Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth and Colman Domingo. The theatrical release: June 12. If you've missed it so far, you can take a look at the first trailer here.

What about Marvel and DC?
You'll notice that we haven't mentioned Marvel and DC in this preview so far – and with good reason. According to information from Deadline, no Marvel trailers are likely to be presented during the Super Bowl this year. There have already been several teasers for "Avengers: Doomsday" in recent weeks. It therefore seems realistic that no new material will be released this week.
However, it is somewhat surprising that no teaser is planned for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day". In terms of timing, a first teaser would at least not be inconceivable. After all, the movie is due to be released on July 31. There were also recent reports of trailer leaks for "Spider-Man 4". So we don't want to give up hope completely – but a trailer release is still rather unlikely.
According to Deadline, no trailers from Netflix, Sony, Apple or Warner Bros. are scheduled for the Super Bowl. But there is one caveat: In the past, these studios have usually presented their footage shortly before the Super Bowl. So it's possible that we can still expect one or two trailers from Warner and Co. this week.

Scream 7
We recently received a new teaser in the run-up to the Super Bowl: "Scream 7". According to Richtman, a trailer for "Scream 7" could possibly be released for the Super Bowl. The horror sequel is scheduled for release on February 27.
Michael
And yet another trailer celebrated its premiere just over a week before the sporting event: "Michael". The Michael Jackson biopic could be a big box office hit in 2026. The film can be seen on the big screen from April 24. You can take a look at the latest trailer here.
