Jurassic World X "Fast & Furious": How Realistic Is A Crossover?

Michelle Rodriguez and Justin Lin seem to be fond of the idea

No one could have expected this: A crossover between "Fast and Furious" and "Jurassic World" may soon become a reality. It may sound like a bad joke at first, but by any means, anything is possible for a franchise that hosts cars races in outer space. This rumor came up just recently, when actress Michelle Rodriguez and ex-"Fast and Furious" director Justin Lin chatted quite candidly about future ideas in an interview with Collider. While Rodriguez seems to be very optimistic and only sees lawyers and studios as obstacles in the whole project, colleague Justin Lin expresses himself somewhat more cautiously. He himself affirmed that he never says never to anything and that it is also part of the "Fast & Furious" philosophy never to be put into categories.

Of course, with such a crazy scenario, there is always the question of feasibility. The fact is that both film series will end their franchises in the not-too-distant future, namely with "Jurassic World: Dominion" and "Fast & Furious 11". After that, there would theoretically be room for entirely new ideas, but these could hardly be set in the same universe, otherwise we would probably already have seen a wild car race through a dinosaur enclosure by now. From the studios' point of view, at least, the financial aspect would be appealing, considering that two franchises with such a huge fanbase naturally promise enormous revenues at the box office.

What do you guys think? Do you believe anything is possible after the upcoming space trip of "Fast & Furious" or does a crossover still seems way too unrealistic to you? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
