Beetlejuice 3 is Coming!
A sequel to Beetlejuice 2 is in development
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice? A new film in the popular series is in the pipeline. In an interview with the industry magazine Deadline, Warner Bros. bosses Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy spoke about making another sequel. And they sounded overly confident.
According to them, not all aspects have yet been settled for an official confirmation of "Beetlejuice 3", but De Luca is convinced that it will happen. He stated that the finalization of the deal is imminent. The sequel to the popular series doesn't come as much of a surprise, since "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" was a big success at the box office.
Which Characters Could Return?
The bosses did not reveal any further details about the sequel. It therefore remains uncertain for the time being which actors will return for "Beetlejuice 3". However, Michael Keaton has already shown his interest in a sequel in the past. A return of Winona Ryder as Lydia or "Wednesday" star Jenna Ortega as Astrid would also make sense. It is unclear who will direct the film and pen the screenplay. The two previous movies were directed by film legend Tim Burton.
When Will "Beetlejuice 3" Be Released?
At least fans of the movies can now look forward to a shorter waiting time than between the first two films. Part 2 followed 36 years after the first movie! However, it is still unknown when exactly we can expect "Beetlejuice 3". As the deal has yet to be finalized, it will still take some time before it gets released.

Beetlejuice: The Cult Classic
When Tim Burton released his film "Beetlejuice" in 1988, hardly anyone could have guessed that the eccentric mix of horror comedy, fantasy and black humor would become a true cult classic. The film, starring an unforgettable Michael Keaton in the title role, brought a whole new kind of scary movie to the screen: bizarre, playful and morbid at the same time. The cast of "Beetlejuice" also included Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Catherine O'Hara and Winona Ryder.
What is Beetlejuice About?
"Beetlejuice" tells the story of young married couple Adam and Barbara Maitland, who continue to live as ghosts in their former house after a car accident. When an eccentric family moves in and begins to radically redecorate the house, the Maitlands seek help – from the self-proclaimed "bio-exorcist" Beetlejuice, who quickly spirals out of control.
Burton's style turned the movie into a visual experience. Above all, it was Keaton's performance as the wild and unpredictable Beetlejuice that made the film memorable. Because of its quirky tone and particular style, "Beetlejuice" quickly became a cult film.
The Return: Beetlejuice 2 (2024)
Cast of Beetlejuice 2
The sequel "Beelejuice Beetlejuice" was released in 2024 after 36 years, with Tim Burton once again taking over as director. The cast is made up of stars from the original film and newcomers. Of course, "Batman" actor Michael Keaton came back as Beetlejuice. Catherine O'Hara as Delia, "Stranger Things" actress Winona Ryder as Lydia and "Wednesday" shooting star Jenna Ortega as Astrid likewise returned.
What is Beetlejuice 2 About?
After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to Winter River. Lydia's life, still haunted by Beetlejuice, is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter Astrid discovers a mysterious model of the town in the attic and the gateway to the afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both worlds, it's only a matter of time before someone utters the name Beetlejuice three times and the mischievous demon returns to wreak his own kind of havoc.

Tim Burton's Movies
Tim Burton is one of the most distinctive directors of modern cinema, known for his unmistakable style between gothic romance, black humor and fairytale scurrility. His best-known films (alongside "Beetlejuice") include the darkly poetic "Edward Scissorhands" (1990) with Johnny Depp and the style-defining Batman adaptations "Batman" (1989) and "Batman Returns" (1992). His adaptations of classic material such as "Sleepy Hollow" (1999), "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005) and "Alice in Wonderland" (2010) were huge successes as well. In recent years, he has also caused a stir with a hit series on Netflix: Burton directed four episodes of the first season of "Wednesday". A second season of the popular series has of course already been ordered.
