"It Follows" Gets a Sequel Called "They Follow"

Fans of the more special horror pay attention! After more than 10 years, we can finally look forward to the sequel to one of the best horror flicks of the past decade.

With "It Follows" in 2014, director David Robert Mitchell provided us with what is considered one of the most innovative and eerie horror movies, which thrilled both fans and critics. Now, almost 10 years later, a sequel is to come out, for which Mitchell will once again work as writer and director.

As The Hollywood Reporter informs, alongside the director, lead actress Maike Monroe will also return for "They Follow." In Part 1, Monroe played Jay Height, a student who is followed at every turn by a mysterious entity. In order to get rid of her pursuer, she must have sex with another person, as this is the only way to transmit the curse.

Since production is set to begin next year, the movie could be in theaters by the end of 2024 or early 2025. The plot of "They Follow" remains unknown, but a published teaser poster already hints that the curse might have developed into an epidemic in Part 2. We are eagerly looking forward to it!
