New start dates for "Top Gun 2" and Co.: These movies will be released in the cinemas this Year
After 34 years since the release of "Top Gun", a few months of postponement are quite bearable
How the global film studios are dealing with the current crisis caused by the pandemic could not be more different. Disney is considering not bringing some films to the cinema at all, but only to Disney+, and Universal is postponing "Fast and Furious 9" for a whole year, while the animation film "Trolls 2" is simply being offered as a stream at home instead of being postponed. Paramount is of course also affected and deals with the situation differently than the competition. The movies "A Quiet Place 2" and "Top Gun 2: Maverick" are supposed to be postponed, but will still be released this year. Fans of "Top Gun" should actually be able to cope with the few months delay, after all they waited a whole 34 years for the sequel. "Top Gun 2" is set for release on December 23, 2020
