Stranger Things: New Additions For The Fourth Season
With a little bit of luck, the release could be this year
Hardly any other coming-of-age series stands for the charm of the 80s like "Stranger Things". The hit production, which was initially released in 2017, is now looking forward to its 4th season, and four new cast members are not to be kept from the fans. The most familiar face is certainly Amybeth McNulty, who played the main character in the Canadian drama series "Anne With An E". In the fourth season, she will become Vickie, who has both a chill and a nerdy side and, according to the description, later falls in love with one of the main characters. Alongside her, 19-year-old Myles Truitt, who embodies the increasingly unstable basketball star Patrick, makes his debut in the series. Cheerleader Chrissy, who will be played by Grace Van Dien, is also set to be introduced in the upcoming season. At first sight, she seems as good as perfect, but is said to hide a dark secret behind her innocent facade. Last but not least, in addition to the three teens, there is also a new guidance counselor coming to the Hawkins High School, namely Ms. Kelly. This role is played by Hawaiian Regina Ting Chen.
Series star David Harbour was also surprisingly talkative on the talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live. There he expressed his regret for the fact that the production and the current status are being kept from the fans so that they don't find out anything before the official start. However, he did counter that by sharing a few details. Based on his statement, filming is still in progress and we can expect it to come to a close around August. In the event of delays, the new episodes would be released at the end of the year at the earliest - especially considering how complex the post-production of the series is. Colleagues Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo share a similar opinion, as the former in particular already announced in the past that he doesn't expect Season 4 to start any earlier than 2022. In any case, we are excited to see whether the rest of the shooting will proceed as planned, and we will of course keep you updated on the release date of "Stranger Things" Season 4.
