Deadpool: The chances of a third part are probably worse
That's what the "deadpool" creator has to say!
Since the release of "Deadpool" in 2016 everyone is talking about the antihero. When a second part was released in 2018 and it could even tie up to the box office success of the first part, the question of a third part was more or less decided. But what followed was the Fox takeover of Disney and with it the great uncertainty whether Wade Wilson's coarse humor is not in contradiction to Disney's family-friendly image. Until the very end, there was great hope that Disney, due to the immense success, would overcome themselves and commission a third part. But this discussion is probably on hold for the time being, since " Deadpool" creator Rob Liefeld recently in an interview with Inverse did not predict a rosy future for the mercenary in the red and black garb. But this discussion is probably on hold for the time being, since " Deadpool" creator Rob Liefeld recently in an interview with Inverse did not predict a rosy future for the mercenary in red and black garb. According to his statements, this is probably the end of the film series, because Marvel boss Kevin Feige is still not interested in a "Deadpool" sequel. He himself was realistic enough to accept that the franchise is now at an end after two very successful films. He also stressed once again that he simply can't imagine a continuation with Marvel. Many fans are now wondering why leading actor Ryan Reynolds announced last December that Marvel had given the green light for "Deadpool 3", which naturally raises the question as to which of the two is really right.
Rob Liefeld, as the creator of "Deadpool", is of course involved in the development processes, but it seems as if Reynolds, as the main actor, is naturally more directly involved in the actual production. The fact that his statement was made much longer ago than that of Rob Liefeld speaks of course against this.
What do you think: is Disney still working on "Deadpool 3" in the background or did Liefeld actually announce the end of the series with his comment? Write your opinion in the comments.
