Cast for "Wednesday" Season 2 Announced
Filming is currently taking place in Ireland
With over 1.2 billion streamed hours, "Wednesday" is one of the most successful Netflix series ever. In view of these huge figures, it should thus hardly be surprising that a second season is to follow. Netflix has now announced the cast.
The cast is of course led by main actress Jenna Ortega, who will once again slip into the role of the headstrong teenager. She will be joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán and Isaac Ordonez.
But we can also look forward to a number of new faces: these include Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper and also Christopher Lloyd, who already played Uncle Fester in "The Addams Family", as well as Joanna Lumley, "Westworld" star Thandiwe Newton and Haley Joel Osment. The series is once again being produced by Tim Burton, who will also be directing again alongside others.
Further details about the plot of season 2 are not available yet. However, the first rumors have already been circulating that Morticia Addams, who acts as the matriarch of the Addams family, is set to play a much bigger role in the second season. The end of the first season certainly offers plenty of scope for an exciting plot. According to Jenna Ortega, it will also be a lot scarier than before.
"Wednesday" is currently being filmed in Ireland. However, it remains to be seen whether we will actually have the chance to enjoy any new episodes this year.
