New pictures of Marvel's "The Falcon And The Winter Soldier" appeared
More than two weeks ago the shooting of Marvel's new series The Falcon and the winter soldier started. Now the first pictures have been released in the short documentary Expanding The Universe, which is available at the same time as the start of the streaming service Disney+. The documentary explains how the MCU will be expanded with the upcoming series. In addition, you can take a first look at the appearance of the heroes with concept art of the new formats.
Among other things the outfits from The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will be presented. You can see Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Emily Van Camp as ex-SHIELD agent Sharon Carter and Wyatt Russel as antagonist John Walker aka US Agent. If you take a look at Walker considering the events of Avenger's endgame, it becomes clear that a merciless fight for Captain America's legacy is about to break out, after all, Falcon himself was given Captain America's shield. Similar to the Marvel Comics, Walker is probably used by the US government to replace Captain America. However, he will probably proceed more ruthlessly than his predecessor.
But the main villain will still be Baron Helmut Zemo, who is impersonated by Daniel Brühl. It's quite possible that he pulls the strings in the background and plays the protagonists off against each other, as he once did with Captain America and Iron Man. Optically, Zemo will be more like the comics, because apparently he will put on his purple mask known from the comics.
The first six episodes of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will be released in fall 2020.
