Casting additions for the last film by master director Quentin Tarantino: Brad Pitt is rumored to be taking on the lead role.

The tenth - and unfortunately last - film by cult director Quentin Tarantino is likely to be high on the watch list of movie fans. Although information about "The Movie Critic" is rather limited, it has now been announced via Deadline that an absolute Hollywood superstar will be joining the production: We're talking about Brad Pitt. While Pitt's exact role in the film is still unclear, there is speculation that he could take on the main character. Pitt and Tarantino have already worked together on the movies "Inglourious Basterds" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" - for the latter, Pitt was even awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

In an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, Tarantino gave a little insight into the plot of his latest film: he revealed that the story is set in California in 1977 and tells of a man who writes film reviews for a porn magazine. The roots of this idea go back to Tarantino's own youth, when he used to load porn magazines into vending machines as part of a job and then came across a critic who particularly stuck in his mind.

It is currently assumed that Sony Pictures will release the film in cinemas next year.
