Resident Evil: Netflix adaption to launch this summer
The story revolves around Albert Wesker’s daughter
We've known about the "Resident Evil" series coming to Netflix for almost two years now. As the streaming service now announced based on three posters, the series will finally be released on July 14, 2022. In terms of content, the eight-episode series is set in the year 2036 and thus 14 years after the spread of the disastrous T-Virus. The focus is on Jade Wesker, the daughter of the notorious antagonist Albert Wesker in the movie series. She tries to fight her way through a world full of bloodthirsty monsters and other creatures and learn more about her dubious past with her father Albert and sister Billie. So far, it is known that "John Wick" star Lance Reddick will be seen as Albert Wesker. Also joining the cast are three actresses, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart and Adeline Rudolph. While the roles are not officially known yet, it is believed that "Run Sweetheart Run" actress Ella Balinska will take on the lead role of Jade Wesker. More is not known at this point, but we can certainly expect a trailer before the release on July 14, 2022.
