Riddick 4 Starts Filming in August
Vin Diesel will once again play the leading role
Although it was announced 11 years ago that a fourth part of the "Riddick" saga with Vin Diesel was being planned, not too much has happened so far. Now, however, the wait is finally over, as "Riddick 4: Furya" starts filming in August!
According to Variety, the first take is expected to take place on August 26. The eagerly awaited sequel follows 2000's "Pitch Black", "The Chronicles of Riddick" from 2004 and "Riddick" from 2013 and will be filmed in Germany, Spain and the UK.
The story once again revolves around the anti-hero Richard B. Riddick, played by Vin Diesel, who returns to his home planet of Furya to fight a new monster together with the other Furyans. David Twohy, who also directed the previous parts, will once again be in charge of the screenplay and direction. Currently, it is not known who else will be in front of the camera alongside Vin Diesel.
We can't wait to see whether "Riddick: Furya" can keep up with its predecessors in terms of toughness and gloom. A release date has not been set yet.
