Indiana Jones is about to retire as a professor. He struggles to fit into a world that seems to have outgrown him. His goddaughter Helena Shaw wants to encourage him not to hang up his hat (and whip) just yet. After all, her father told her about a mysterious artifact that he and Indy had been searching for and which seems to be of incredible importance. The events overturn as suddenly Indy's old rival Jürgen Voller enters the parquet and wants to use the dial of destiny to rewrite the history of the 2nd World War. Indy must once again take up the whip!
