Background
There have been significant personnel developments behind the scenes: Jennifer Lee, the creative soul behind the first two films, has stepped down from her position as head of Disney Animation Studios in order to concentrate fully on the screenplay and direction of "Frozen 3". Her successor as creative director is Jared Bush, who has already enjoyed success with "Zootopia" and "Encanto". The return of the proven team also continues in front of the microphone: the original cast of Idina Menzel (Elsa) , Kristen Bell (Anna) , Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf) is back.
The planned plot has apparently taken on such epic proportions that a single movie is not enough. Director Jennifer Lee confirmed that the new story will be told over the course of two films. This means that the production of "Frozen 4" is already firmly anchored in the plans to complete the new story arc.
