Ben Fortson
First and foremost, this is a children's movie. As such, it's good entertainment (children won't notice the B- acting, the plot gaps or the poor cinematic timing). It's also quite fun seeing a wolf pup and lion cub play together (the cinematography is beautiful). Of course, there is the script problem (awkward and unconvincing) and the casting problem (none of the main characters seem to fit their roles) and the costume design problem (always perfect hairdo's and just-out-of-the-box clothes, boots and hats). But if you can get past all that--and most children will--it's an entertaining watch. If you expect to enjoy this movie as an adult, as we did, then you'll be disappointed, as we were.
