Overview

Germain, a fun-loving retiree, enjoys his life in retirement. While he devotes himself to reading Proust, his wife Lise dances in a contemporary dance ensemble. But suddenly Lise dies. Concerned for his well-being, his children henceforth interfere in Germain's daily life, turning his life upside down. Their constant visits, phone calls and organized meals slowly take his breath away. Germain pretends to play along, but secretly pursues another plan: he keeps a promise he made to Lise - Germain applies to the contemporary dance ensemble for her role. How long will Germain be able to lead this double life without his children getting wind of it?
