- RyezooFebruary 7, 2025Better than suicide squad but still had issues with this movie. Margot Robbie is great in this role, but there can always be too much. It barely crosses that territory so it’s fine. I really hated the storytelling of this movie. The narrating and retracing events back 15 mins is lazy and uninteresting storytelling. Huntress is a super cool character that barely gets fleshed out. Ewen McGregor is fun to watch as the villain even though he’s not a fleshed our character. There are so many plot holes in this movie. Lastly, the soundtrack is fantastic but not in the movie. It is very annoying listening to the kick ass Halsey track during a fight scene. It doesn’t fell cool, it’s just the excuse to have gotten that song made. There are some brief scenes where a real type of score is used and it was good. This would of had heightened tension with that. The one big positive is that this film is super pretty to look at. Some good cinematography and gorgeous color palette! So bottom line. Step in the right direction, but since this severely under performed that might be the last time we see that version of Harley Quinn.
