Under the leadership of corporate boss Julian Dillinger, a descendant of the villain Ed Dillinger from the original film, a new master control program is created: Ares, played by Jared Leto. Dillinger (Evan Peters) and his team manage to deploy Ares as a kind of super soldier in the real world – but only for 29 minutes. But Dillinger is not the only one trying to find a solution for the permanent manifestation in the real world. ENCOM CEO Eve Kim (Greta Lee) also embarks on the search – and seems to be close to an answer.
