Meghann Fahy (known from The White Lotus and A New Summer) plays Violet, a widowed mother who goes on a date for the first time in years. When she arrives at the fancy restaurant, she is relieved to find that her date Henry (Brandon Sklenar from Just One More Time) is more charming and attractive than expected. But the initial harmony changes abruptly when Violet is first irritated and then terrorized and panicked by a series of anonymous messages on her cell phone.
Violet is instructed in no uncertain terms to follow every order precisely and to maintain absolute silence - otherwise the hooded figure, whom she only knows from the footage on her surveillance camera, threatens to kill her young son and her babysitting sister. There is no way out for Violet: if she disobeys, everyone she loves will die...
