Overview
Belleville in the northeast of Paris, characterized by migration, craftsmanship and revolt. The film is a poetic homage to the neighborhood, with images like a chanson. In "Le Vieux Belleville" they come together: Minelle, the singer, or Robert Bober, the writer, once Truffaut's assistant director. Lucio, the Basque and anarchist, is also a regular visitor to the little restaurant, which seems to have fallen out of time and fashion. In this place, in the stories of the regulars and their songs, which are about love and struggle, not only the soul of Belleville manifests itself, but that of old Paris.
